Founded in 1928, originally as State Employees' Credit Union, its mission is to be a trusted provider of financial services, helping members achieve greater financial success and confidence. As a cooperative, VACU operates solely for the benefit of its members, returning earnings through services, attractive rates, lower fees, and free financial education programs.

The credit union offers a comprehensive suite of financial products and services, including checking and savings accounts, mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, personal loans, investment services, and insurance services.
