Headquartered in Bolam House, Nassau, New Providence, its mission is to be a global leader in destination marketing and management, contributing sustainably to a thriving national economy. The Ministry's core services include comprehensive destination marketing and management, providing visitor information on attractions, accommodations, tours, restaurants, and entertainment across the islands. It also plays a crucial role in developing relationships with airports, airport authorities, and the Hotel Corporation of The Bahamas, and oversees lotteries and gaming. Furthermore, the Ministry is responsible for promoting, facilitating, and administratively processing investments within the country. The Ministry strategically focuses on growing stopover arrivals, engaging new source markets, and targeting luxury and niche market segments.

Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, and Director General Latia Duncombe, the Ministry has achieved significant milestones, including a record-breaking 12.5 million visitors in 2023.
