St. Thomas University (STU) is a private, non-profit Catholic university located in Miami Gardens, Florida. Established in 1961, its core mission is to foster the academic and professional success of its students, preparing them to become ethical leaders within the global community, all while upholding its rich Catholic tradition.
The university offers a diverse range of over 60 undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degree programs, available both on-campus and online. Under the leadership of its 10th President, David A. Armstrong, J.D., who assumed office in August 2018, St. Thomas University has achieved seven consecutive years of record enrollment as of August 2025. Recent developments include the launch of a new Center for Learning Differences in Fall 2025 and the official ribbon cutting of its new Fashion & Culinary Center in September 2025. In 2025, the university also transitioned its law school name back to St. Thomas University College of Law and established the Benjamin L. Crump Institute for Environmental and Societal Law.
