Coushatta Casino Resort is a premier gaming and entertainment destination located in Kinder, Louisiana, owned and operated by the federally recognized Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. Established in 1995, the resort's core mission is to provide economic opportunity and support for the tribal members while offering a comprehensive hospitality experience. It is recognized as the largest casino resort in Louisiana and serves as a significant economic driver for Allen Parish and the surrounding region.
The resort features an expansive gaming floor with over 2,800 slot machines, 55-75 table games, a poker room, live bingo, off-track betting, and a sportsbook known as "The Rez Sportsbook." Accommodations include multiple hotels such as the Grand Hotel, Seven Clans Hotel, The Inn at Coushatta, and the newly opened Legacy Tower, which brings the total room count to over 1,000. Additionally, the resort offers the Red Shoes RV Park & Chalets, eight to nine diverse dining options, an 18-hole championship golf course (Koasati Pines), an outdoor pool complex, a Kids Quest center, and various live entertainment venues.
Coushatta Casino Resort is currently undergoing a significant $150 million expansion, which includes the new eight-story, 204-room Legacy Tower that opened in May 2026, alongside a refreshed casino floor. Nate Tanner serves as the General Manager, with Tanya Duhon appointed Chief Financial Officer and Britton Pruett as Director of Food and Beverage in early 2026. The resort celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025, solidifying its position as a top employer in Southwest Louisiana and a key contributor to the state's economy.
