Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB)
The Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, strengthening, and enhancing a prosperous Indigenous economy. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, CCIB's mission is achieved by fostering business relationships, opportunities, and awareness for its diverse membership. The organization is supported through corporate funding, event sponsorships, membership dues, and some government assistance for research and program development.
CCIB offers a range of programs and services designed to support Indigenous economic growth and facilitate connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses. Key offerings include the Certified Indigenous Business (CIB) program, the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program, and the Indigenous Procurement initiative, which features the Supply Change™ program and an Indigenous Procurement Marketplace. Additionally, CCIB provides Tools for Indigenous Business (TIB), conducts research, hosts events, and presents business awards. The organization serves a broad market segment, including Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses of all sizes, corporations, and government entities across Canada, boasting over 2,800 members.
Under the leadership of President and CEO Tabatha Bull, CCIB continues to drive economic reconciliation and advocate for Indigenous businesses. In June 2026, CCIB relaunched its Indigenous Procurement Marketplace, supported by Uber Canada, to more effectively connect over 1,700 Certified Indigenous Businesses with 170 corporate buyers. The organization also partnered with the Business Data Lab in May 2026 to launch a new tracker measuring the ongoing impact of Indigenous businesses. CCIB is recognized as a trusted voice in advancing Indigenous economic growth, working to ensure Indigenous businesses are at the forefront of the Canadian economy.
