Its outputs include reports, forecasts, dashboards, and webinars designed to inform strategy and policy.

Dr. Susan Black serves as the President and CEO of Signal49 Research. The name change from The Conference Board of Canada to Signal49 Research in early 2026 marked a significant evolution, reflecting the organization's independence and deep Canadian identity following the conclusion of a decades-long licensing agreement. In May 2025, Signal49 Research acquired Vicinity Jobs Inc., a Canadian leader in labour market data and analytics, further strengthening its capabilities. The organization positions itself as Canada's leading independent research body.
