Organon Expands Accelerator to Bridge Women's Health Gap in META Region

DUBAI, UAE – February 04, 2026 – Global healthcare company Organon has launched the third edition of its Women's Health Accelerator Program, significantly expanding its footprint to include the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META). The initiative, aimed at empowering digital health start-ups, seeks to address persistent gaps in family planning, fertility, and women's wellness across a region poised for explosive technological growth.

In partnership with the established regional accelerator Flat6Labs, the 2026 program will connect a new cohort of entrepreneurs with vital resources, including mentorship, investor access, and market testing opportunities. For the first time, the program is opening its doors to innovators from Sub-Saharan Africa and even extending its reach to Ukraine, signaling a deep commitment to fostering solutions in areas with critical unmet health needs. Applications for the program are open until February 12, 2026.

Tapping a Multi-Billion Dollar Digital Health Market

Organon's strategic expansion arrives as the META region's digital health sector is experiencing a massive upswing. The telehealth market alone, valued at over $4.5 billion in 2024, is projected to surge to more than $18 billion by 2030. This growth is propelled by increasing smartphone penetration, rising consumer demand for accessible, patient-centric care, and strong government support through initiatives like Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the UAE's focus on becoming a global innovation hub.

This burgeoning digital infrastructure provides a fertile ground for femtech—technology specifically designed for women's health. The accelerator program aims to harness this potential by identifying and nurturing startups that leverage AI, remote monitoring, and mobile health applications to deliver personalized and convenient care. From AI-powered diagnostics for breast and cervical cancer to digital fertility trackers and virtual consultation platforms, technology offers a pathway to overcome long-standing barriers to women's healthcare, such as privacy concerns, cultural taboos, and geographical distance from medical facilities.

Building a Sustainable Ecosystem for Innovation

Since its inception in 2022, the Women's Health Accelerator has built a strong track record, attracting nearly 500 applications and providing support to over 20 companies. Six startups, including iYoni and Siira, have been selected as winners in previous cohorts, demonstrating the program's ability to identify promising ventures.

A key feature of the program is its cyclical mentorship model, where past winners return to guide new participants. This creates a self-sustaining ecosystem of empowerment, ensuring that knowledge and experience are passed down to the next generation of innovators. This collaborative environment is further enriched by the involvement of a broad network of experts, including academics, healthcare providers, and policy advisors, facilitated through the partnership with Flat6Labs.

The culmination of the program will be a demo day in the second quarter of 2026. On this day, finalists will pitch their solutions to a panel of judges composed of investors, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders. Three winners will be chosen, receiving further support to scale their businesses and amplify their impact.
