LAS VEGAS, NV – March 26, 2026 – Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) has announced a landmark partnership to equip its more than 16,000 members with a powerful digital tool aimed at enhancing personal safety. The association will now provide FOREWARN®, a real-time identity verification service, as a complimentary benefit, allowing agents to proactively screen potential clients and mitigate the inherent risks of their profession.
The move provides a layer of data-driven defense for professionals who frequently work alone and meet strangers in vacant properties. Using just a phone number, agents can now discreetly verify a prospect's identity, search for criminal histories, and validate information in seconds before ever opening a car door or a lockbox.
A New Defense in a High-Risk Profession
The real estate industry has long grappled with significant safety concerns. According to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), nearly a quarter of residential agents have feared for their personal safety while on the job. The nature of the work—meeting unknown individuals, often at secluded or empty locations—creates unique vulnerabilities.
