Yanik Guillemette

Yanik Guillemette is a Canadian entrepreneur and investor based in Quebec, known for his involvement across real estate, technology, and e-commerce sectors. His entrepreneurial approach focuses on building growth-oriented companies, leveraging digital innovation, and applying financial discipline to scale businesses. He aims to identify and support ventures with strong market demand and scalable business models.

Guillemette's portfolio includes a diverse range of activities. He founded Outgo (Réseau Outgo Inc.), an e-commerce platform specializing in gift cards and experiences, which he exited in 2024. He has a background in real estate development through Guillemette Propriétés. Currently, he is an active angel investor and strategic advisor in several high-growth companies, including Accolad, an employee recognition platform, as well as FranShares, Bezel, and GURU Organic Energy. He also launched Canadian Maple Company in 2023, aiming to globalize the distribution of Canadian maple syrup products.

In November 2024, Yanik Guillemette pleaded guilty to ten charges under Quebec's Securities Act, following a prosecution by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) related to his activities with Réseau Outgo Inc. The charges included acting as a securities dealer without registration and providing false or misleading information to investors. He and Réseau Outgo Inc. have committed to reimbursing the affected investors. Despite these legal challenges, Guillemette continues to be active in the tech and investment landscape, recently publishing analyses on the impact of Canadian regulatory frameworks on innovation and discussing the role of AI in HR technology through his involvement with Accolad. He is also a member of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance.
