While incorporated in Singapore, VinFast's principal operational hub and state-of-the-art manufacturing complex are located in Haiphong, Vietnam.

VinFast's product portfolio primarily consists of a range of all-electric SUVs, including models like the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9, designed for various market segments. Beyond electric cars, the company also produces electric scooters and electric buses, and has showcased concepts like the VF Wild electric pickup truck and DrgnFly electric bike. In a notable leadership change in January 2024, Phạm Nhật Vượng, the founder and Chairman of Vingroup, assumed the executive position of CEO of VinFast, while Lê Thị Thu Thủy transitioned to Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh was appointed as the new CFO. VinFast has demonstrated strong market positioning, particularly in its home country, becoming the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam by October 2024, with over 51,000 electric vehicles delivered year-to-date. The company is actively pursuing global expansion, with plans for EV manufacturing facilities in the United States (North Carolina) and India, and has secured substantial financial backing from Vingroup to support its ambitious growth strategy.
