EPSO-G is a state-owned holding company based in Vilnius, Lithuania, responsible for leading an innovative, transparent, and efficiently managed group of energy transmission and exchange operators. Its core mission is to provide long-term benefits to its shareholder, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania, while ensuring the country's strategic energy interests and contributing to its competitiveness and public welfare. The EPSO-G Group comprises the management company EPSO-G and six directly controlled subsidiaries: Amber Grid, Baltpool, Energy Cells, EPSO-G Invest, Litgrid, and Tetas. These subsidiaries collectively manage Lithuania's electricity transmission system (Litgrid), operate gas transportation infrastructure (Amber Grid), and manage 200 MW battery energy storage systems (Energy Cells). Additionally, the group oversees biofuel and timber trading platforms (Baltpool), undertakes electricity infrastructure construction projects, and provides infrastructure operation services to various network operators. The group has also expanded its activities to include investments in Lithuania's defense industry.

In recent developments, Moody's Ratings affirmed EPSO-G's Baa1 credit rating with a stable outlook on June 10, 2026. The group also secured EUR 160 million in credit facility agreements with Swedbank on June 5, 2026. For 2025, EPSO-G successfully synchronized the Baltic countries' electricity systems with continental European networks and integrated a record 1.9 GW of renewable energy capacity into the grid. The company's strategic initiatives also include the construction of a 155 mm artillery ammunition factory, marking a significant expansion into the defense sector to bolster national security.
