The Sherwin-Williams Company is a global leader in the manufacture, development, distribution, and sale of paints, coatings, and related products. Founded in 1866 by Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams, its global headquarters are located in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

The company operates through three primary segments: the Paint Stores Group, Consumer Brands Group, and Performance Coatings Group. Its extensive product portfolio encompasses architectural paints, industrial coatings, automotive refinish products, protective and marine coatings, wood finishes, stains, sealers, and various painting supplies. These products are distributed globally through a vast network of company-operated stores, mass merchandisers, home centers, independent dealers, and industrial distributors.

Heidi G. Petz assumed the role of Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer in January 2024. The company marked its 160th anniversary in June 2026. Sherwin-Williams also recently completed the multi-phase relocation into its new global headquarters, a 36-story office tower in downtown Cleveland, in early 2026.
