THE MILKEN INSTITUTE

The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to accelerating measurable global progress. Its core mission involves advancing collaborative solutions that broaden access to capital, generate employment, and enhance health, ultimately guiding individuals toward a meaningful life. Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, the Institute also maintains offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Miami, London, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore.

The Institute's work is structured around four primary pillars: Finance, Health, Strategic Philanthropy, and an International arm. It conducts data-driven research, develops policy recommendations, and convenes influential leaders and experts through various conferences, including its flagship Global Conference, the Future of Health Summit, and regional summits like the Asia Summit and Middle East and Africa Summit. Key initiatives include Milken Institute Health, which focuses on biomedical innovation, public health, healthy aging, and food systems; Milken Institute Finance, addressing challenges across the financial system; and Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy, which guides individuals and foundations in tackling societal issues. The Institute also supports programs such as the Milken Scholars Program, the Milken-Motsepe Prize in AI and Manufacturing, the 10,000 Communities initiative, and the Initiative for Inclusive Entrepreneurship.

Richard Ditizio serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Milken Institute, while Michael Milken is the founder and Chairman. In recent news, the Institute has been active in various global initiatives. In June 2026, its Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC), in partnership with the Ann Theodore Foundation, committed $600,000 in funding for sarcoidosis research. In May 2026, the Milken Institute and Motsepe Foundation announced the winners of the $2 Million Milken-Motsepe Prize in AI and Manufacturing, with BleagLee receiving the $1 million Grand Prize. The Institute also hosted its 29th annual Global Conference in Los Angeles in May 2026 and launched the Women's Health Network in July 2026.
