The 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Organising Committee (SABGOC)

The 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Organising Committee (SABGOC) was the official body responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the 6th Asian Beach Games. Headquartered in Sanya, Hainan Province, China, its core mission was to successfully deliver this continental multi-sport event, fostering unity and friendship among Asian nations through sports, and showcasing the host city and Hainan Province to a global audience.

SABGOC's operations encompassed a wide range of services critical to a major international sporting event. These included comprehensive event management, the construction and upgrade of venues, and extensive logistical support covering athlete accommodation, transportation, and medical services. The committee also managed accreditation processes, provided media services for over 1,000 registered journalists, oversaw volunteer recruitment and training, and curated cultural performances. Its efforts aimed to promote beach sports and integrate them with tourism, targeting athletes and National Olympic Committees from 45 Asian countries and regions, as well as spectators and the local community.

The 6th Asian Beach Games, originally scheduled for 2020, successfully concluded from April 22 to April 30, 2026, after two postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event attracted approximately 10,000 participants, including over 1,600 athletes from 45 countries and regions, with China topping the medal table. Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, served as the Chairman of the Sanya 2026 Organizing Committee. The Games held significant importance as the first major international sporting event hosted in Hainan since the inauguration of the Hainan Free Trade Port, enhancing Sanya's global profile and promoting regional sports and tourism development.
