The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is a self-funded, not-for-profit corporation and a regulatory authority based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mandated by the Government of Ontario, its core business is to administer and enforce technical standards and regulations to enhance public safety across the province. The TSSA's mission is to achieve this through engagement, evidence, enforcement, and education.

The TSSA provides safety oversight for a wide range of equipment and activities, including elevating devices such as elevators and escalators, amusement devices like roller coasters and bouncy castles, and ski lifts. It also regulates boilers and pressure vessels, fuels (natural gas, propane, and liquid fuels), and operating engineers. The organization's services encompass engineering design reviews, inspections, investigations, licensing and registration, training and certification, and public education to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Under the leadership of President and CEO Bonnie Rose, the TSSA is currently transforming into an Outcome-Based Regulator, emphasizing data insights, risk mitigation, and a targeted regulatory approach. Recent activities include launching a 2026 Customer Value Survey and streamlining certification processes for skilled professionals. The TSSA operates under the oversight of the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, with a 13-member Board of Directors governing its operations.
