SkyDrive Inc. is a Japanese aerospace company dedicated to leading a once-in-a-century mobility revolution by developing electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, often referred to as "flying cars," and cargo drones. Established in July 2018, evolving from the volunteer group Cartivator, the company is headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, with additional offices in Tokyo and Osaka, and a U.S. base in South Carolina.

The company's core products include passenger eVTOL aircraft, such as the three-seat SD-05 "SKYDRIVE" model, designed for air taxi services, and cargo drones capable of carrying payloads up to 30kg. SkyDrive aims to make air transportation a practical, everyday option, addressing urban mobility challenges.

SkyDrive is privately held and has secured significant investment, including a Pre-Series D funding round in July 2025, bringing its cumulative funding to over ¥43 billion. The company has formed a strategic partnership with Suzuki Motor Corporation for the manufacturing of its SD-05 aircraft, with production commencing in March 2024 at a Suzuki-owned plant. Led by Founder and CEO Tomohiro Fukuzawa, SkyDrive received Japan's first "Approved Design Organization" (ADO) certification for an eVTOL developer from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau in April 2026. The company is actively expanding its market presence, including establishing a U.S. base in South Carolina and forming partnerships in Florida, with a target for commercial operations by 2028, following demonstration flights at Expo 2025 Osaka.
