Established on July 1, 2018, as a spin-off from SK Chemicals' vaccine business unit, its mission is "Promoting human health, from prevention to cure." The company's headquarters and Global R&PD Center are located in Songdo, Incheon, Republic of Korea.

The company boasts a diverse portfolio of vaccines, including its proprietary cell-cultured influenza vaccines, Skycellflu (trivalent and quadrivalent), the shingles vaccine Skyzoster, and the chickenpox vaccine Sky Baricella. SK bioscience also develops and supplies the typhoid conjugate vaccine SkyTyphoid and engages in contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO/CMO) services for global partners.
