Service Employees International Union Local 2, Brewery, General & Professional Workers' Union

SEIU Local 2, officially known as the Service Employees International Union Local 2, Brewery, General & Professional Workers' Union, is a labor organization dedicated to improving the lives of workers and their families. As an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), one of North America's largest unions, SEIU Local 2 advocates for the dignity and worth of workers and the services they provide. Its head office is located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

The union represents approximately 20,000 workers across various sectors in Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Alberta, and Manitoba. Key sectors include janitorial and maintenance, brewery and other beverages, industrial, community services, racetrack and gaming, education, healthcare and nursing, security, and municipal services. SEIU Local 2's core services involve collective bargaining to secure improved working conditions and compensation, processing grievances, educating members on labor law and health and safety rights, and organizing unorganized workers.

David Bridger serves as the President of SEIU Local 2, with Tom Galivan as the Secretary-Treasurer. The union is actively engaged in various campaigns, such as "Justice for Janitors," "Beverage Workers Rising," and "Stand for Security," to empower workers and raise employment standards. Recent activities in April 2026 included Dexterra cleaners in Metro Vancouver voting to strike, observance of the National Day of Mourning, and community rallies supporting janitorial staff.
