The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) is a Crown corporation wholly owned by the Government of Canada, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. Its core business involves producing circulation and non-circulation coins for Canada and other nations, managing the domestic coinage system, and serving as a technical advisor to the Minister of Finance on coinage-related matters. The Mint's mission is to be the best mint in the world, acting as a world-class provider of branded investment, collectible, and secure payment products and services that connect people and inspire celebration.

The RCM offers a diverse range of products and services, including Canadian and foreign circulation coins, precious and base metal collector coins, and bullion products such as gold, silver, palladium, and platinum Maple Leaf coins. Beyond minting, it provides gold and silver refinery and assay services, secure precious metal storage, and coin recycling programs. The Mint operates two primary facilities: its headquarters in Ottawa specializes in collector coins, investment products, and refining, while its Winnipeg plant focuses on high-volume production of Canadian and international circulation coins.

As of January 31, 2026, Simon Kamel serves as the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Marie Lemay. The Royal Canadian Mint maintains a strong market position as one of the largest and most versatile mints globally, recognized for its high-quality coinage, advanced security features, and exceptional purity in bullion products. Recent activities include the unveiling of a silver collector coin marking the 150th anniversary of the Royal Military College of Canada and the release of commemorative coins for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in June 2026.
