Reju

Reju is a materials regeneration company dedicated to establishing a closed-loop circular textile system, aiming to eliminate textile waste. The company's core mission is to unlock the infinite possibilities of textile waste by transforming discarded materials into new resources. Headquartered in Nanterre, France, Reju operates a pilot Regeneration Hub in Frankfurt, Germany, and is expanding its global footprint.

Reju specializes in the textile-to-textile recycling of post-consumer polyester textiles and PET waste. Utilizing proprietary technology developed in collaboration with IBM Research and Technip Energies, Reju produces high-quality Reju Polyester. This regenerated material boasts a 50% lower carbon footprint compared to virgin polyester and is designed for multiple recycling cycles, reducing reliance on fossil-based inputs.

Under the leadership of CEO Patrik Frisk, Reju has been actively expanding its operations and influence. In July 2026, the company opened its first U.S. R&D Center in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. This follows the January 2026 announcement of Rochester, New York, as the site for its first U.S. industrial-sized Regeneration Hub, projected to regenerate 300 million articles annually. Reju has also secured €135 million in Dutch NIKI Funding for a Regeneration Hub in the Netherlands and announced a French hub in Lacq in early 2026. The company joined Recycling Europe's Textiles branch in June 2026 and received an Environmental Award in the Sustainable Regeneration category at the 2025 Just Style Excellence Awards.
