Nyxoah SA
Nyxoah SA is a medical technology company dedicated to the development and commercialization of innovative solutions for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Headquartered in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium, the company's mission is to become a global leader by providing unique, patient-centric neuromodulation therapies. Nyxoah aims to enable OSA patients to achieve restful sleep and live fulfilling lives.
The company's primary product is the Genio® system, a CE-Mark validated and FDA-approved hypoglossal neurostimulation therapy designed to treat moderate to severe OSA. The Genio® system is patient-centered, leadless, and battery-free, utilizing bilateral stimulation of the hypoglossal nerve to maintain an open airway during sleep. It is intended for patients who have not tolerated, failed, or refused traditional CPAP therapy. The system comprises an implanted neurostimulator, an external activation chip, a charging unit, and adhesive patches.
In recent news, Nyxoah received $15 million from the European Investment Bank in June 2026, contributing to approximately $110 million in new capital raised that month, earmarked for accelerating Genio's U.S. commercial launch, research and development, and manufacturing scale-up. The Genio® system was also honored with the Prix Galien UK 2026 Award for Best Medical Technology. The company secured FDA approval for its Genio system in August 2025, marking a significant step for its U.S. market entry. Olivier Taelman serves as the CEO, with Robert Taub as the founder and Executive Chairman.
