NuScale Power Corporation is an American nuclear technology company specializing in the design and marketing of small modular reactors (SMRs). Headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon, its mission is to advance nuclear power to improve the quality of life for humankind and support the global energy transition by delivering reliable, carbon-free nuclear power.

The company's primary product is the NuScale Power Module™ (NPM), a small modular reactor capable of generating 77 MWe. These modules are scalable and form the basis of its VOYGR power plants, which can range from 4-module (VOYGR-4) to 12-module (VOYGR-12) configurations, offering up to 924 MWe. NuScale's technology is designed for diverse applications, including supporting artificial intelligence growth, providing process heat for industrial uses, replacing retiring coal plants, offering baseload power for renewables, and powering desalination plants. Beyond reactor design, NuScale provides comprehensive services covering licensing support, construction, commissioning, plant operations and maintenance, and fuel supply.

NuScale Power holds a significant market position as the first SMR to receive U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) design approval in 2020, and the first SMR technology provider to become a publicly traded company in 2022. In May 2025, the NRC granted licensing for its 77 MWe module and new plant configurations. Recent developments include the opening of a new Operations Center in Houston, Texas, in April 2026, and an expanded partnership with Framatome in March 2026 to bolster its global supply chain and accelerate fuel delivery. The company is also collaborating with ENTRA1 Energy and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to deploy up to 6 gigawatts of SMR capacity. However, NuScale faced a setback in November 2023 with the cancellation of its Carbon Free Power Project in Idaho due to escalating costs and insufficient customer subscriptions. As of June 2026, the company's stock has experienced a significant decline over the past year.
