New Terminal One LLC
The New Terminal One at JFK is a privately financed consortium dedicated to the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of a new international terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Jamaica, New York. This ambitious project aims to develop a world-class international gateway, setting new standards for design and service within the Port Authority's $19 billion transformation of JFK. The consortium's mission is to create a best-in-class terminal that aspires to achieve a Top 5 Skytrax ranking globally.
Upon its full completion in 2030, The New Terminal One will be the largest terminal at JFK, spanning 2.6 million square feet with 23 gates, 22 of which are capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft. It will feature expansive, naturally lit public spaces, cutting-edge technology, and a diverse array of amenities, including world-class dining, retail, lounges, inspiring public art, and family-friendly facilities. The project emphasizes sustainability, incorporating on-site renewable energy generation, an all-electric ground support equipment fleet, and aiming for LEED Gold certification.
Recent developments include the release of its inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report in June 2026, highlighting its commitment to climate-resilient infrastructure and energy efficiency. The terminal is scheduled to open in phases, with the first gates expected to be operational in 2026. Jennifer Aument serves as the Chief Executive Officer, leading a diverse executive team. The New Terminal One represents the largest public-private partnership in the U.S., with a consortium of financial sponsors including Ferrovial, JLC Infrastructure, Ullico, and Carlyle.
