The organization operates as a virtual entity with team members located in key Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, and Ottawa.

The alliance focuses on advancing practical economic policy solutions through coalition-building, education, government relations, and strategic communications. It targets market segments crucial to the clean economy, such as clean energy, clean technology, critical minerals, and electrification. Merran Smith previously served as President of New Economy Canada, with the organization actively seeking its next leader as of May 2026.
