Nicklaus Children's Health System, operating as a nonprofit corporation, is the sole healthcare system in the region dedicated exclusively to children. Its mission is to inspire hope and promote lifelong health by providing the best care to every child. The system's corporate headquarters are located at 5301 Blue Lagoon Drive, 4th Floor, Miami, FL 33126.

The health system encompasses Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 474-bed facility renowned for excellence in pediatric medicine, along with a network of outpatient centers, urgent care facilities, and rehabilitation services. Key offerings include over 40 pediatric specialties and sub-specialties, Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists (a nonprofit physician practice subsidiary), and Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Virtual Care for telehealth services. The system also includes the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation, its fundraising arm, and an ambulatory surgery center, serving children from newborns to age 21 across South Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and Collier counties.

Matthew A. Love serves as the President & CEO, with Jaret L. Davis, Esq., appointed Chair of the Health System Board in January 2026. The system recently reorganized into a regional operating structure in December 2025 to better address healthcare demands in South Florida. Nicklaus Children's Health System has received numerous accolades, including being named Miami-Dade's Favorite Pediatric Hospital by the Miami Herald in December 2025 and receiving ECRI's 2025 Healthcare Supply Chain Excellence Award. In April 2026, the Heart Institute performed Florida's first partial heart transplant and the first traveling bedside transcatheter PDA closure. The system is consistently ranked among the nation's top 50 hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, with seven specialty programs recognized in 2025-26.
