Mantle Network
Mantle Network is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and a pioneering on-chain ecosystem focused on advancing blockchain scalability and bridging traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi). Its core mission is to serve as a "Liquidity Chain" to enhance capital efficiency within the on-chain economy. As an Ethereum Layer 2 network, Mantle aims to empower both individual users and institutions by providing a unified financial services platform designed for the Web 3.0 era.
The ecosystem offers several key products, including the Mantle Network itself, the mETH Protocol, Function (FBTC), and Mantle Index Four (MI4). Mantle Network utilizes a modular architecture, advanced data availability solutions, and zero-knowledge proofs to deliver a faster and more cost-effective alternative to transacting directly on Ethereum, reportedly cutting data storage costs by over 90%. The platform is EVM-compatible, ensuring ease of integration for developers familiar with the Ethereum environment.
In recent developments, Mantle has actively expanded its influence and offerings. In April 2026, it proposed a significant 30,000 ETH loan to Aave to address bad debt, demonstrating its commitment to DeFi stability. Furthermore, in June 2026, Mantle integrated Franklin Templeton's USPX ETF on-chain, enabling 24/7 trading of tokenized exchange-traded funds and positioning itself as a gateway for institutions to access real-world assets. The network also onboarded Backed's $1.6 billion tokenized equity franchise in November 2025. Mantle's native token, MNT, reached an all-time high in September 2025 following a mainnet upgrade, solidifying its position as a prominent zero-knowledge rollup with over $2 billion in total value locked.
