Kioxia Launches E1.S SSDs with Liquid Cooling for AI Data Centers

  • Kioxia introduced the NX1 Series E1.S PCIe® 5.0 NVMe™ SSDs with direct liquid cooling support for AI and hyperscale environments.
  • The new drives offer up to 38% higher sequential write performance and 20% higher random write performance compared to the previous generation.
  • Available in 9.5mm (supports liquid/air cooling) and 15mm (air-cooling only) form factors, with capacities ranging from 1.92TB to 15.36TB.
  • The NX1 Series is currently sampling to select hyperscale customers and will be showcased at FMS: the Future of Memory and Storage in August 2026.

Kioxia's NX1 Series targets the growing demand for high-performance, power-efficient storage in AI-driven data centers. As hyperscale operators and cloud service providers expand their GPU-enabled server deployments, the need for advanced thermal management solutions like direct liquid cooling becomes critical. This launch positions Kioxia as a key player in the evolving data center storage market, particularly for AI workloads.
