In July 2025, IGT underwent a significant corporate transformation, becoming a privately held entity under the ownership of Apollo Global Management. This new IGT was formed by combining the former International Game Technology PLC's Gaming & Digital business with Everi Holdings Inc. Hector Fernandez was appointed CEO in December 2025, and in March 2026, the company announced a restructuring that included approximately 700 global layoffs.
