Habitat for Humanity International

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to building affordable housing and eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. Its mission is to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Habitat for Humanity's core services involve constructing, rehabilitating, repairing, and improving homes for low-income and disadvantaged families. Recent activities include a $6.3 million grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation in 2024 for U.S. build and repair projects, renewed partnerships with corporations like J.M. Huber Corporation, and a $500,000 commitment from Allied World for climate-resilient homes. In June 2026, the Augusta CSRA Habitat for Humanity broke ground on its 88th home, marking the launch of its 40th year with ambitious plans for future builds.
