Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to building affordable housing and eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. Its mission is to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. The organization's global/international headquarters are located in Americus, Georgia, U.S., with administrative headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S..

Habitat for Humanity's core services involve constructing, rehabilitating, repairing, and improving homes for low-income and disadvantaged families. The organization utilizes volunteer labor, including homeowner "sweat equity," and sells homes at no profit with affordable mortgages, making homeownership accessible. Beyond construction, Habitat operates ReStores, which sell donated home improvement items to fund local affiliates, and actively advocates for policies that promote affordable housing. Through initiatives like the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter and Habitat Capital, it also works to expand access to innovative housing solutions and provide financial services for equitable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity operates in all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries globally.

Jonathan Reckford has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity International since 2005, leading its global efforts. The organization has significantly impacted communities, helping over 65 million people improve their living conditions since its founding in 1976, with more than 13.4 million assisted in the past fiscal year alone. Recent activities include a $6.3 million grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation in 2024 for U.S. build and repair projects, renewed partnerships with corporations like J.M. Huber Corporation, and a $500,000 commitment from Allied World for climate-resilient homes. In June 2026, the Augusta CSRA Habitat for Humanity broke ground on its 88th home, marking the launch of its 40th year with ambitious plans for future builds.
