Fidium
Fidium is a fiber-first internet and network services company that provides high-performance fiber connectivity to residential, business, enterprise, and wholesale customers across the United States. The company's mission is to deliver future-ready connectivity and long-term growth through its extensive fiber infrastructure. Fidium's headquarters are located in Mattoon, Illinois.
Fidium offers a range of high-speed fiber internet plans, including symmetrical multi-gig speeds up to 8 Gigabits per second, often paired with Wi-Fi 7 technology. Beyond residential services, Fidium Business provides scalable fiber internet, network services, security, voice, collaboration, and transport solutions for businesses of all sizes. The company serves customers in various states, including California, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vermont.
In September 2025, the company, formerly known as Consolidated Communications, officially rebranded all its residential, business, and wholesale services under the unified Fidium brand. Fidium is actively expanding its fiber-to-the-premise network, with new 8 Gig speed tiers and Wi-Fi 7 offerings rolling out in select locations starting April 2026. The company became privately held in late 2024 following its acquisition by affiliates of Searchlight Capital Partners, L.P. and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI). Gaurav Juneja, formerly Chief Operating Officer, is set to assume the role of CEO at the beginning of 2026, succeeding Bob Udell. Fidium aims to upgrade over 80% of its footprint with fiber within the next few years, building on its significant investment in fiber infrastructure.
