The company also received approval in May 2026 for a new homeowners insurance rating plan in California, which includes a substantial 22% home/auto package discount. However, in August 2025, a data breach was reported that could affect over one million customers. Earlier, in July 2023, Farmers Insurance began limiting new homeowners insurance policies in California.
