Eutelsat Communications S.A. (Eutelsat Group)
Eutelsat Communications S.A., commonly known as Eutelsat Group, is a global satellite telecommunications operator headquartered in Paris, France. The company's mission is to deliver resilient, secure, and accessible satellite connectivity and broadcasting services worldwide by integrating both Geostationary (GEO) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) capabilities. Eutelsat aims to connect people, businesses, and communities through innovative satellite communications.
Eutelsat provides a comprehensive portfolio of services across four key market segments: Video, Fixed Connectivity, Mobile Connectivity, and Government Services. Its operations include broadcasting over 6,550 television channels and offering high-speed broadband internet access for maritime, aviation, and land-based networks, as well as secure communication solutions for governmental agencies. The company operates a fleet of 35 GEO satellites and, following its merger with OneWeb, an additional constellation of over 600 LEO satellites.
A significant development for the company was the completion of its merger with OneWeb in September 2023, establishing Eutelsat as the world's first integrated GEO-LEO satellite operator. In leadership changes, Jean-François Fallacher was appointed Chief Executive Officer effective June 2025, succeeding Eva Berneke, and Eric Labaye became Chairman of the Board in August 2025. The French government increased its equity stake to 29.9% in June 2025, solidifying its position as the largest shareholder. Eutelsat is recognized as the world's third-largest satellite operator by revenues.
