ECI Group is a privately held, vertically integrated real estate organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1969 by Henry Hirsch as Engineered Concepts Incorporated, the company's mission is to provide reliable returns to investors by developing, constructing, brokering, and managing apartment assets. ECI Group is led by CEO and COO Seth Greenberg, who has been instrumental in the company's growth since joining in 1996. In October 2024, ECI Group received a $350 million equity infusion from Almanac Realty Partners to fund acquisitions, developments, and credit investments within the multifamily sector, particularly targeting newer communities and those built in the 1990s, as well as new developments in the Southeast and Texas. This capital injection, combined with a $250 million lending platform launched with Smith Hill Capital and InterVest, is expected to fuel over $3 billion in investment and financing growth over the next three to five years. More recently, in May 2026, ECI Group and ApexOne Investment Partners announced a strategic joint venture to form ApexOne-ECI Multifamily Fund VI, LP, aiming for $500 million in equity capitalization to acquire, redevelop, and manage multifamily assets across the Sunbelt, Midwest, and Mountain West regions. The company has also been recognized as a “Best Place to Work in Multifamily” for 2026.
