Crete Professionals Alliance (Crete PA)

Crete Professionals Alliance, often referred to as Crete PA, is a privately held company established in 2023 and headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The firm operates as a collaborative network designed to provide accounting and professional services firms with an alternative to traditional growth models. Its core mission is to empower independent firms by augmenting their local brands and cultures with national platform capabilities, thereby enhancing efficiency and performance.

Crete PA itself is not a licensed CPA firm; instead, its subsidiary entities, which are also not licensed CPA firms, provide tax, advisory, and other non-attest services. Partner firms within the alliance operate under an alternative practice structure. The network offers a comprehensive suite of accounting, tax, audit, and advisory services to both public and private clients. It supports its member firms with a range of resources including HR assistance, technology integration, financial guidance, business development, legal and compliance support, and strategic capital for acquisitions. A significant focus is placed on leveraging advanced technology and artificial intelligence to modernize accounting practices.

Co-founded by Jake Sloane and Frank Zhang, with Steve Stagner serving as CEO, Crete PA has rapidly positioned itself as a fast-growing entity in the accounting sector, having been recognized by Accounting Today. The company is backed by strategic investors, including Thrive Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners, which led a capital raise in May 2024. In January 2025, Crestline Investors provided a senior secured credit facility to further support acquisitions and growth initiatives. Crete PA plans to invest over $500 million to acquire additional US-based accounting firms over the next two years, aiming to expand its network, which already includes over 40 firms.
