Centrus's primary offerings include Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) for existing commercial nuclear power reactors and High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU), a next-generation nuclear fuel crucial for advanced reactor designs. Centrus has recently achieved significant milestones, including the commencement of first-of-a-kind HALEU production in late 2023 at its American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio, marking the first U.S.-owned and U.S.-technology enrichment plant to do so since 1954. The company is undertaking a multi-billion-dollar expansion of its uranium enrichment capacity, including a $560 million investment in its Oak Ridge, Tennessee manufacturing facility, and has partnered with Palantir to integrate AI-driven software for operational efficiencies. Centrus also launched commercial LEU enrichment activities and domestic centrifuge manufacturing in late 2025/early 2026, with new capacity expected by 2029, positioning itself as a key player in strengthening the U.S. nuclear fuel infrastructure.
