BSV Association
BSV Association is a global non-profit organization headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. Its core mission is to advocate for, educate about, and drive innovation on the BSV blockchain. The association aims to advance the adoption and unlock the full potential of BSV as a scalable, secure, and energy-efficient public blockchain, specifically designed for data integrity, enterprise solutions, and government applications.
The organization supports developers, enterprises, and public sector institutions by fostering innovation, encouraging regulatory compliance, and promoting real-world use cases for the BSV blockchain. Key offerings include educational resources like "Blockchain 101" and webinars, along with developer tools such as SDKs, documentation, and open-source guidelines. The BSV blockchain itself is characterized by its stable protocol, massive scalability, low transaction fees, and robust security, enabling features like smart contracts, tokenization, and digital asset recovery for various sectors including finance, supply chain, and digital assets.
Under the leadership of Managing Director Ásgeir Óskarsson and CTO Siggi Óskarsson, BSV Association has recently focused on expanding its global reach and regulatory compliance. Notable developments include the April 2026 "Chronicle" network upgrade, which aims to complete the Bitcoin protocol by removing artificial technical constraints, and the expansion of global BSV access through integration with Onramp Money in Asia, MENA, and Latin America. The association also secured BSV listings on compliant exchanges like LCX in February 2026, aligning with MiCA regulations, and joined Blockchain for Europe in March 2025 to contribute to policy development and industry standards.
