The Boston Society of Architects (BSA) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to advancing architecture and design in the Greater Boston area. As the eastern Massachusetts chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the BSA advocates for architects and designers, aiming to improve the quality of life for residents by championing innovation in the built environment, with a focus on equity and sustainability. The organization's headquarters are currently located at 290 Congress Street, Suite 200, Boston, MA, with a planned relocation to 99 Chauncy Street in Downtown Boston by early 2027.

The BSA provides a range of services including professional development, legislative advocacy, networking opportunities, and continuing education for its members. It hosts numerous events, exhibitions, and public programs, facilitated by nearly 50 knowledge communities that serve as forums for discussion and professional growth. Its charitable arm, formerly the BSA Foundation, now operates under the public-facing identity "Architecture in Common," focusing on education, civic dialogue, and community engagement to connect the public with architecture and design.

As one of the oldest and largest chapters of the AIA, with over 4,500 members, the BSA holds a significant position as New England's largest building industry association. In recent news, the BSA Foundation officially rebranded to Architecture in Common in May 2026. The organization also announced in March 2026 its selection of NADAAA to design its new headquarters at 99 Chauncy Street, with occupancy expected in early 2027. Executive Director Danyson Tavares was recognized in April 2026 on the Boston Business Journal's 2026 40 Under 40 list. Alison Nash currently serves as President, with Katherine West Faulkner elected as Vice President/President-Elect, slated to become President in 2027.
