BLUETTI and UN-Habitat Expand Clean Energy Initiative to Nigeria

  • BLUETTI and UN-Habitat conducted their second joint initiative under the 'Lighting An African Family (LAAF)' program in Benue State, Nigeria, from September 7-10, 2026.
  • The initiative included a two-day solar energy workshop at Rev. Fr. Orshio Adasu University Makurdi, where 50 PB200 Solar Lighting and Storage Kits were donated.
  • BLUETTI donated 180 additional solar kits to households in the Yelwata community, benefiting over 1,000 residents.
  • To date, LAAF has benefited more than 60,000 people across Africa, with an expected 337.5 tons of carbon emission reductions over five years.

BLUETTI's partnership with UN-Habitat underscores a growing trend of private companies collaborating with international organizations to address energy poverty and promote sustainable development. This initiative aligns with broader industry efforts to decentralize energy access and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, particularly in regions with limited infrastructure. The scale of the program, having already benefited 60,000 people, positions BLUETTI as a key player in the clean energy sector, with potential for further expansion and impact.
