Banner Health is a leading non-profit healthcare system headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Established in 1999 through the merger of Lutheran Health Systems and Samaritan Health System, its core mission is "Making health care easier, so life can be better." The organization operates as a non-profit, reinvesting all earnings into patient care, services, and technology, rather than generating profits for shareholders.

Recent developments include the planned relocation of its corporate headquarters within Phoenix in the fourth quarter of 2026, a $6 million grant awarded in July 2026 to Banner Sun Health Research Institute for Parkinson's disease research, and the sale of Banner Lassen Medical Center in California, expected to close by December 2026. The organization is also investing $1 billion over five years in technology, including a proprietary AI program named BannerWise.
