Alkane Resources Limited
Alkane Resources Limited is an Australia-based multi-commodity mining company primarily engaged in gold production, alongside exploration and development activities for gold, antimony, and copper. Headquartered in West Perth, Western Australia, the company's mission is to deliver shareholder value through the profitable operation of its assets and the discovery of new economic mineral deposits.
The company's key producing assets include the Tomingley Gold Project in New South Wales, Australia; the Costerfield gold and antimony operation in Victoria, Australia; and the Björkdal gold mine in Sweden. Alkane also holds the Boda-Kaiser Project, a significant gold-copper porphyry development opportunity in New South Wales, and explores for other critical minerals such as rare earths and zirconium.
In August 2025, Alkane Resources significantly expanded its operational footprint through a merger with Mandalay Resources, adding mines in Victoria and Sweden to its portfolio. This strategic move led to the company commencing trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in August 2025, complementing its existing listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Led by Managing Director and CEO Nic Earner, Alkane reported a record net profit of $93 million for Q3 FY2026, with revenue reaching $274.4 million, driven by increased production and favorable commodity prices. The company was also included in the S&P/ASX 200 Index effective April 22, 2026, solidifying its position as an established mid-tier gold and antimony producer with significant growth potential.
