The funding round, led by ManchesterStory with participation from Benhamou Global Ventures and Arka Venture Labs, aims to accelerate the nationwide deployment of a platform designed to replace today’s fragmented and manual healthcare workflows with a unified, automated system.

The result is a system where highly trained medical professionals spend a substantial portion of their time on tasks that have little to do with patient care. XCaliber’s mission is to lift that burden, promising not just another piece of software, but a foundational operating system that allows different systems to communicate and act intelligently.
The $496 Billion Problem
The challenge XCaliber aims to solve is staggering in scale. According to industry analyses, U.S. healthcare providers spend nearly $496 billion annually on administrative tasks, with more than half of that often cited as excessive or wasteful. This financial drain, which can represent 25-30% of a hospital's entire operational budget, is a direct consequence of a disconnected technological landscape. Electronic health records (EHRs), billing platforms, scheduling tools, and payer portals have been adopted in silos, creating digital islands that require immense manual effort to bridge.

Human staff are only alerted when their specific intervention is required, freeing them from the routine back-and-forth.

The company reports that its platform is already processing over eight million chart updates and generating more than 160,000 EHR updates daily for a patient population exceeding 700,000. In one specific use case—prescription refills—XCaliber’s patient navigator agent is reportedly saving providers an average of six hours of manual work every day.
This level of real-world impact is what attracted lead investor ManchesterStory. “We invest in companies that move beyond pilots and demonstrate real adoption and change in the market.
