The new system, implemented with support from Public Consulting Group (PCG), aims to streamline aircraft and fleet registration, permitting, and airport surveys, promising enhanced efficiency and user experience for stakeholders.
Streamlining Skies and State IT
For years, the DOAV operated with an outdated, largely manual aircraft registration process. According to sources within the department, the previous system relied heavily on paper-based submissions, causing delays and administrative burdens for both aircraft owners and DOAV staff. “The old process was simply unsustainable,” said one source. “We needed a solution that could handle increasing volumes and evolving regulations without requiring constant custom development.” The new system addresses these concerns by offering secure online submissions, automated workflows, and integrated payment processing.
