USF Solidifies Elite Status with Top-Tier Graduate Program Rankings

TAMPA, FL – April 07, 2026 – The University of South Florida continues its impressive climb in academic prestige, with the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings recognizing more than 40 of its graduate programs among the nation’s elite. The 2026 report highlights a broad and sustained pattern of excellence, placing 42 USF programs in the top 100 nationally, including 18 in the top 50.

This year's results solidify USF's position as a national powerhouse in graduate education and research, a status underscored by the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine earning a coveted Tier 1 research rating for the second consecutive year. This places the college among the top 16 medical schools in the country and inside the top 10 among public universities.
