WARNER ROBINS, GA – February 27, 2026 – Military families at Robins Air Force Base are set to see significant improvements in their housing, as Hunt Military Communities (HMC) announced a $3.65 million capital improvement project targeting critical infrastructure in the Turner Park and Crestview neighborhoods. The investment focuses on modernizing aging systems to enhance housing quality, reliability, and the long-term readiness of service members.

The large-scale project, expected to begin within the next month and conclude later this year, will bring fundamental upgrades to hundreds of residents. This initiative is part of a broader, systematic reinvestment strategy by HMC, the largest owner of military housing in the United States, and reflects a continued partnership with the Air Force to prioritize proactive capital planning.

Upgrading the Foundations of Home Life

The core of the $3.65 million investment is dedicated to what HMC President and CEO Brian Stann calls the “fundamentals of reliable housing.” For the families living in the Turner Park and Crestview communities, this translates into tangible, everyday benefits.

The most extensive work will take place in Turner Park, a neighborhood of three and four-bedroom homes built in the late 1990s. The project includes complete roof replacements for 76 residential structures, the majority of which are duplexes. In conjunction with the new roofs, crews will replace metal fascia trim with more durable, weather-resistant materials, aiming to protect the homes from the elements for years to come.

Perhaps the most impactful upgrade for residents will be the installation of 173 new HVAC systems across both the Turner Park and Crestview neighborhoods. These modern heat pump units, complete with new thermostats, are designed to provide more reliable and efficient heating and cooling. To maximize the benefit of the new systems, the project also includes full duct cleaning for all affected homes, a step intended to improve indoor air quality and overall system performance. For families who have dealt with the frustrations of aging HVAC units, particularly during Georgia’s hot summers, this upgrade promises greater comfort and peace of mind.

This new wave of improvements builds upon a foundation of more than $735,000 committed in 2025. Those previous projects included the installation of modern tankless water heaters in 47 homes, full window replacements in 20 Forest Park residences, the construction of a new community playground, and comprehensive preventive maintenance across all Robins Family Housing properties.
