RFE Backs NuView, Forging a Unified Front in IT and Cybersecurity
PORTSMOUTH, NH – December 17, 2025 – In a strategic move reflecting a major industry shift, private equity firm RFE Investment Partners has announced a significant investment in NuView, a newly launched platform designed to unify managed IT services and cybersecurity. The investment, made in partnership with Mansfield Investment Partners, backs a venture that consolidates four specialized firms into a single, integrated provider aimed at solving the growing complexity and fragmentation plaguing corporate technology environments.
Founded in August 2025, Portsmouth-based NuView emerges from the combination of Beyond Secure, Trusted Internet, NuView Advisors, and AIQL. This merger creates a comprehensive service provider offering everything from resilient IT infrastructure management to 24/7 cyber defense and executive-level technology leadership. The launch and its substantial backing signal a market pivot towards holistic solutions over the traditional, disjointed approach of managing multiple IT and security vendors.
A New Model for a Fragmented Landscape
The core problem NuView aims to solve is one familiar to many business leaders: a tangled web of technology vendors, security tools, and compliance requirements with no single owner. This fragmentation can lead to security gaps, operational inefficiencies, and a lack of clear accountability when issues arise.
“NuView was built to solve a problem we see everywhere: disconnected IT and security environments with no clear owner,” said Tim Martin, CEO of NuView, in a statement. “By unifying best-in-class MSP and cybersecurity firms on a single, security-first platform, we deliver clear accountability and more predictable outcomes.”
The platform’s services are structured around four key pillars:
- Managed IT Services: Providing fully or co-managed IT environments to ensure infrastructure is resilient and efficient.
- Managed Security (MSSP): Offering round-the-clock monitoring and proactive defense against sophisticated threats like ransomware and phishing.
- Compliance Management: Assisting organizations with audit readiness and support for stringent regulatory frameworks.
- IT Strategy & Advisory: Delivering fractional vCISO (virtual Chief Information Security Officer) and vCIO (virtual Chief Information Officer) leadership to guide technology roadmaps and manage risk.
This integrated model offers distinct advantages over a multi-vendor strategy. By housing IT operations and security under one roof, organizations can benefit from streamlined communication, faster incident response, and a more consistent security posture. Experts note that when a single provider understands the entire IT infrastructure, from the network core to the end-user device, security protocols can be embedded more deeply and effectively, moving from a reactive stance to a proactive one.
Navigating the High Stakes of Regulation
NuView is strategically targeting its services at regulated and high-value industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and education. This focus is critical, as these sectors face a relentless barrage of cyber threats while simultaneously navigating an increasingly dense maze of legal and regulatory compliance mandates. Frameworks such as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) for defense contractors, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for healthcare, and others demand rigorous security controls and auditable proof of compliance.
Failure to comply can result in severe financial penalties, reputational damage, and loss of business. The market demand for solutions that simplify this burden is surging. The global managed services market is projected to expand significantly, with some analysts forecasting it to reach over $550 billion by 2032. Much of this growth is driven by the need for specialized security and compliance expertise that is often too expensive or difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to maintain in-house.
Bill Bronander, a Principal at RFE Investment Partners, highlighted this alignment in the firm's decision. “NuView represents the kind of innovative, growth-oriented business we aim to support,” Bronander stated. “Their integrated approach aligns with the increasing compliance and resilience needs across regulated sectors.” By offering fractional executive leadership through vCISO and vCIO services, NuView provides smaller organizations access to the high-level strategic guidance necessary to not only build secure systems but also to satisfy auditors and regulators.
Private Equity Fuels Consolidation in Managed Services
The investment from RFE and Mansfield Investment Partners is emblematic of a powerful trend within the technology services industry: private equity-fueled consolidation. The managed services market, with its predictable recurring revenue models and strong growth potential, has become a prime target for investors looking to build scalable, market-leading companies. RFE’s own investment history, which includes backing other specialized service providers like compliance firm BryteBridge, demonstrates a clear strategy of identifying and scaling businesses in high-demand, niche sectors.
This capital infusion is set to accelerate NuView’s trajectory. The funds will be used to support both organic growth and a strategic acquisition strategy, allowing the platform to expand its service capabilities and deepen its talent pool. For clients, this trend toward consolidation can be highly beneficial, offering the simplicity of a single trusted partner rather than the complexity of juggling multiple vendors. The challenge for providers like NuView will be to maintain the specialized expertise and customer-centric focus of its founding firms as it scales.
As part of the transaction, RFE becomes the majority investor, with Mansfield also taking a stake and a seat on NuView’s board of directors. The existing NuView management team, led by Martin, will continue to lead day-to-day operations and retain a significant ownership stake, ensuring continuity of vision and leadership.
“NuView brings clarity to an IT and cybersecurity landscape that’s become increasingly complex,” Martin added. As businesses of all sizes confront the dual challenges of rapid technological change and escalating digital risk, integrated platforms that promise clarity, accountability, and expertise are positioned not just to compete, but to define the future of technology management.
