"We believed we met all the criteria, so we applied in the summer of 2025. The application was accepted, and they shared it would take 6 months for inspectors to review. We didn't know when the inspectors arrived or how long they stayed," said Erin Matthews, the hotel's General Manager. "We were notified earlier this year that we had been selected."
