An initial group of sixteen promising candidates was shortlisted for intensive training in the demanding trades of Joinery, Cabinet Making, and Carpentry. This intensive program was designed to align with international standards and prepare the artisans for the high-pressure environment of competitive skill demonstrations.

Through grueling District and State-level contests, the field was narrowed. The six most proficient trainees from HPWWI emerged to represent the institute at the North Zone Regional competition, held in Agra from March 11 to 14. They faced a formidable challenge, competing against over 300 skilled participants drawn from an initial pool of more than 700 aspirants across the zone. The event drew senior dignitaries from the skill development ecosystem, including the Hon'ble Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, underscoring its national importance.
