The university now boasts 20 programs in the top 50 nationally, with 13 programs earning the coveted No. 1 spot in Virginia, signaling a broad and strategic advancement across its graduate offerings.

The engineering school, for instance, climbed nine spots to 76th nationally and broke into the top 50 among public universities at 47th.
