Just a day later, CSG announced another landmark joint venture, this time with Türkiye's FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. The two will form Danube Defence Systems, a new Slovakian-based company (51% CSG, 49% FNSS) dedicated to producing medium-weight armored vehicles. Based on the FNSS Kaplan platform already in service, the Karpat combines the firepower of a 120mm main battle tank gun with the agility and lower logistical footprint of a lighter vehicle. Developed by a consortium of CSG companies—including Excalibur International as the integrator, Retia for its advanced ReSAURION 3D AESA radars, and Tatra for the vehicle platforms—the system also integrates short-, medium-, and long-range surface-to-air missiles from Turkish partner Roketsan. This modular "system of systems" is designed to counter a full spectrum of aerial threats, from drones and guided missiles to conventional aircraft. Its unveiling by retired U.S. General John William Nicholson Jr., now a CSG board member, highlighted its ambition. This theme of integration and partnership continued with the announcement of the Meander special-purpose military vehicle, a collaboration between CSG's Excalibur Army and New Space Technologies (NST).
