Asure Taps Mike Eralie to Steer Operations Amid Rapid Growth

AUSTIN, TX – January 07, 2026 – Asure Software (NASDAQ: ASUR), a provider of cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, has appointed seasoned executive Mike Eralie as its new Senior Vice President of Operations. The strategic move comes as Asure navigates a period of significant expansion, marked by double-digit revenue growth and key acquisitions, underscoring the company’s focus on building a robust operational foundation to support its scaling ambitions.

In his new role, Eralie is tasked with leading operational strategy and execution across Asure’s core service lines, including payroll, HR, compliance, and workforce management. His appointment signals a deliberate effort by the Austin-based firm to ensure that its rapid growth trajectory is matched by exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

The Architect of Scale

Asure has demonstrated impressive financial momentum throughout 2025. The company reported a 24% year-over-year revenue increase in the third quarter, reaching $36.3 million, and raised its full-year revenue guidance to between $138.0 million and $142.0 million. This growth has been fueled by both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, such as the $39.5 million purchase of Lathem Time Corporation in July 2025, which significantly expanded its time and attendance offerings.

This rapid scaling, however, necessitates a disciplined operational framework to maintain stability and service quality. Eralie's mandate is to construct that framework. He will focus on optimizing service delivery, aligning cross-functional teams, and building the operational infrastructure required to handle increased volume and complexity without compromising the client experience.

Pat Goepel, Chairman and CEO of Asure Software, emphasized the strategic importance of this hire in the company’s announcement. “Mike is the type of leader who understands that growth only works when it’s built on strong operations and exceptional client experiences,” Goepel stated. “Throughout his career, he has helped scale complex HCM organizations while improving service quality and customer satisfaction. That combination of discipline, vision, and customer focus is exactly what Asure needs as we accelerate our next phase of growth.”

A Veteran of Integration and Operational Excellence

Eralie brings over two decades of leadership experience in the HR and payroll services industry, with a notable track record of guiding operations through periods of transformation and consolidation. His background is particularly relevant to Asure’s growth-by-acquisition strategy. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Safeguard Pay, the global payroll division of Safeguard Global, which was acquired by Deel in March 2025 to bolster its enterprise-level global payroll capabilities.

Before that, Eralie was the Chief Operating Officer at NGA Human Resources, a global payroll and HR services leader that was acquired by Alight Solutions in 2019. In both roles, he was responsible for leading global service delivery, implementation, customer success, and technology support for clients across more than 100 countries. This experience in integrating complex, multinational operations and aligning disparate teams post-acquisition provides him with a unique playbook for the challenges Asure faces.

His career, which began in auditing and consulting at Arthur Andersen and includes senior IT leadership roles, is built on a foundation of financial and technological expertise. With an accounting degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Eralie possesses a deep understanding of the financial and process-oriented discipline required to run efficient, large-scale operations.

Fortifying the Client Experience in a Competitive Arena

In the increasingly crowded HCM market, customer experience has become a primary battleground. While Asure generally receives positive feedback for its user-friendly payroll portal, industry analyses and customer reviews across platforms highlight that consistent, high-quality support and a seamless platform experience are critical differentiators. Eralie’s appointment directly addresses this imperative.

His focus on strengthening service delivery is poised to tackle common operational pain points that can arise during rapid growth, such as inconsistencies in support and system performance bottlenecks. This aligns with Asure’s recent product initiatives, like the launch of Asure Central™, a unified client platform designed to standardize the user experience and improve back-end efficiency. Eralie’s operational leadership will be crucial in executing this vision and ensuring that such technological advancements translate into tangible benefits for clients.

Eralie himself acknowledged the centrality of this mission in his statement. “I’m excited to join Asure at such an important moment in the company’s journey,” he said. “Asure has built a strong foundation in payroll and tax, and that core is what everything else depends on. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen operations, improve execution across the organization, and build the kind of operational discipline that allows the company to scale with confidence while continuing to raise the bar on customer experience.”

Navigating the Dynamic HCM Landscape

Eralie’s appointment is not just an internal move; it is a strategic signal to the broader HCM market. The industry is dominated by giants like ADP, Workday, and UKG, and populated by nimble, high-growth competitors such as Paylocity and Gusto. In this environment, providers targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), like Asure, must compete on more than just features and price.

Reliability, scalability, and exceptional service are paramount. By investing in a high-caliber operational leader, Asure is fortifying its core value proposition. The move suggests a mature understanding that as the company grows its customer base and product suite, the complexity of its service delivery model increases exponentially. Proactively building the operational muscle to manage this complexity is essential for long-term success and client retention.

As the HCM market continues its evolution toward unified, AI-driven platforms that prioritize the employee experience, the underlying operational machinery that powers these systems becomes more critical than ever. Asure's decision to bring in an executive of Eralie's caliber indicates a clear strategy: to ensure that as the company reaches for greater market share, its foundation is strong enough to support the weight of its ambitions.
